🕰️ Production & Legacy

Manufactured in the United States from 1979 to 1982, the Colorburst 250 was priced at $76.50 at launch. Its production ceased following a successful patent infringement lawsuit by Polaroid, which led Kodak to discontinue all instant cameras and films. As part of the settlement, Kodak offered compensation to customers who returned their cameras, resulting in many units missing their front nameplates today .(Camera History Project, CollectiBlend, CollectiBlend)

⚠️ Film Availability

The Kodak PR-10 film required for the Colorburst 250 is no longer produced, making it challenging to find usable film packs. While some expired film may be available through collectors, its quality and reliability are uncertain. Consequently, the Colorburst 250 is primarily valued as a collector’s item or display piece rather than for practical photography.(Film Photography)
