Description

The National Sprinty BC 35mm is a vintage 35 mm film camera produced in India by National Instruments Ltd. of Calcutta (Kolkata) starting around the late 1970s as one of the country’s earliest locally made cameras. It’s essentially a re-manufactured version of the German King Regula Sprinty BC design — National Instruments bought the plans and tooling from the original German maker to build and sell it domestically. The camera is a basic viewfinder model with manual film advance and simple controls typical of consumer cameras of that era, making it more of a nostalgic collectible and historic piece of Indian photographic history than a high-end photographic tool today.
